European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers' Organisation

E.C.C.O. was established in 1991 by 14 European Conservator-Restorers‘ Organisations. Currently representing close to 6.000 professionals within 21 countries and 23 members organisations, plus one international body (IADA), E.C.C.O. embodies the field of preservation of cultural heritage, both movable and immovable.

Conservator-Restorers are increasingly becoming involved in administration and management of cultural heritage. During its 25 years of existence (1991-2016), E.C.C.O. has established principles and fought for regulation to control access to the profession of the Conservator-Restorer, by articulating professional standards and publishing guidelines for education and practice.

ENCoRE Call for paper. Ulrich Schiessl phd colloquium April 2017

 

The purpose of the Colloquium is to provide a platform for PhD students in conservation restoration and teachers involved in PhD study programs in order to discuss the state of the art  of the discipline and to set up co-operation and exchange between institutions providing PhD programs in conservation-restoration.
