E.C.C.O. seeks to develop and promote, on a practical, scientific and cultural level, the profession of Conservator-Restorer of Cultural Property. Its main objectives are: - to promote a high level of training - to work toward legal recognition of professional status To that effect, E.C.C.O. has prepared and adopted the E.C.C.O. Professional Guidelines, composed of three parts: - the Profession - the Code of Ethics - Basic Requirements for Education in Conservation/Restoration |
