European Days of Conservation-Restoration 2026

2026 EDCR_Horizontal

From 12 to 18 October 2026, the European Days of Conservation-Restoration (EDCR) return with a new week of stories, perspectives, and exchanges from across the profession. In the frame of its 9th edition, E.C.C.O. invites the conservation-restoration community to come together around the work, knowledge, and commitment that sustain cultural heritage every day, and to reflect on how the profession is evolving in response to new realities, from institutional collaboration and professional practice to heritage at risk and the digital transition.

Throughout the week, conservator-restorers, institutions, educators, partners, and heritage communities will be invited to share experiences, projects, and reflections that reveal the people, decisions, and expertise behind the care of our shared heritage. The EDCR is a moment to make conservation-restoration more visible, celebrate the dedication behind the profession, and strengthen the conversations that will help carry it forward.

We are also delighted to join forces this year with ENCoRE (European Network for Conservation-Restoration Education), Michael Culture Association, and the ECHOES project (European Cloud for Heritage OpEn Science), bringing together complementary perspectives and communities to enrich the 2026 edition and expand the dialogue around the future of conservation-restoration.
